I am a huge fan of accessorizing an outfit with a cute jacket, but this is most especially true during season transitions. Transitioning from summer to fall is always hard for me. We might start out the day in the 50s, and it’s 80 by the afternoon. Layering is key, and an on-trend jacket is a staple.
My pick for this week is our new arrival for the day, our “Dare to Dream” Denim Jacket. I adore this jacket. It’s a grey/lavender color, embroidered with stars and embellished with my personal fav, pearls! The denim material is extremely soft and lightweight, unlike many traditional “structured” denim jackets.
I am wearing this Denim Jacket with a white button-down shirt and black slacks with open toe black booties. This look is perfect for a day in the office, or a night on the town for drinks and dinner with friends. It also pairs well with a casual black dress and the oh-so-popular fall trend, lug sole boots.
To dress it down a bit, pair this denim jacket with one of our Elietian short or long sleeve tops in white or black, and our customer favorite Elietian leggings. If leggings aren’t for you, our new “No Place Like Home” ankle tie joggers would be a great substitute. The beauty of our joggers is the tie at the ankle. When you pull a top down over the elastic waistband and throw on our denim jacket, the joggers transition to a wonderful day pant. No one knows how comfortable you are because you’re looking so fashion-forward!
Finally, a more traditional look for this denim jacket is to simply pair it with jeans! The grey/lavender color looks really cute with all washes of denim – light to dark. I prefer a neutral colored top like white, black or even grey underneath, but the denim is such a neutral color itself, you could make your outfit pop with another splash of color. A bootie or trending sneaker would be the perfect finishing touch for this outfit.
I hope you enjoyed our #ootd for this week. Next week, Sandy will be sharing her favorite pieces from this month, and different ways to style them. I think you’re going to love it!
